Off to Chile (Student Tour)

Upon arrival in Santiago, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and eight overnights at a Chilean Family House.

In the morning you will participate in a Spanish class in groups of up to 8 international students. Enjoy lunch at the famous Mercado Central. City tour through Santiago, including the Pre-Columbian Museum and drive up to San Cristóbal Hill with the finest view of Santiago and the Andes Mountains.

Spanish language courses in the morning. In the afternoon visit to the Museo Interactivo Mirador (MIM) where physical laws and other phenomena of science can be learned about in entertaining and interactive ways.

Spanish language courses in the morning. By the evening visit to the Human Rights Museum, a great possibility to learn more about the Chilean history!

Spanish language courses in the morning. Evening at leisure for personal activities or to get to know Santiago better.

Spanish language courses in the morning. Afterwards visit to the beautiful handicraft market “El Pueblito Los Dominicos”. Enjoy a stroll around this handicraft village and a snack of the typical Chilean “Empanada” and “Mote con Huesillo”.

Transfer to Cascada de las Animas for rafting on the Maipo River. A lead guide will give you a safety instructional talk at the beginning. “First timers” are welcomed as well as experienced rafters. After lunch quick orientation before you will start trekking to the mesata (plateau) to see the work of a reforestation project where hundreds of native trees were planted. We will follow a different trail down the mountain through the sanctuary, ending our trip back at the restaurant.

Full day excursion to the beautiful seaside village of Isla Negra and the cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar. While Isla Negra is a real place of pilgrimage in literature, Valparaíso was declared as World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. In Viña del Mar guests will have the chance to see Viña’s flower clock and the gambling Casino.

Transfer from the family houses to Santiago Airport for the individual, international return flight.
