Current situation and updates on governmental decisions and binding regulations across South America:

ARGENTINA
  
+ No entry restrictions related to Covid19; vaccination certificates or tests are no longer required.

BRAZIL
+ No entry restrictions related to Covid19; vaccination certificates or tests are no longer required.
Mask-wearing rules: none

CHILE
+ Travelers are allowed to enter the country (mainland) if they are fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination is required at the moment of embarking the flight to Chile (vaccination certificate).
+ Travelers who are not vaccinated need to present a negative PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before departure in order to enter Chile.
+ Random COVID tests may be carried out upon arrival. Travelers who refuse or receive a positive test result, must carry out a mandatory 5-day quarantine at a sanitary residence.
Mask-wearing rules: masks are not mandatory on the mainland

EASTER ISLAND:
+ A proof of vaccination (vaccination certificate + valid identity card) is required.
+ Fill out the electronic entry form “FUI”.
+ Proof of reservation of a return flight ticket as well as hotel reservation
+ The Health authorities may carry out mandatory health checks (COVID-tests) during the stay on the island.
+ Mask-wearing rules: masks are mandatory both in- and outdoors on Easter Island.

COLOMBIA
+ International travelers over 18 years of age can enter the country presenting a full COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued no later than 14 days prior arrival. The vaccination certificate can be physical or digital.
+  In case the vaccination is not complete, the traveler must present either a negative PCR Test carried out no later than 72 hours prior to boarding OR a negative 
Antigen Test carried out no later than 48 hours prior to boarding.
+ Travelers have to complete the Check-Mig form not earlier than 48h and not later than 1h prior the flight. The same form has to be filled again before the departure flight from Colombia.
+ Hotels, restaurants, museums and places of interest are operating with strictly biosecurity protocols.
+ Mask-wearing rules: no mandatory use of masks

With the support of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Colombia is officially the first country in Latin America to launch a Tourism Biosecurity Stamp.

ECUADOR including Galapagos Islands:
+ No entry restrictions related to Covid19; vaccination certificates or tests are no longer required.
+ Mask-wearing rules: none relevant to tourists.

PERU
+ No entry restrictions related to Covid19; vaccination certificates or tests are no longer required.
+ Mask-wearing rules: none relevant to tourists.

BOLIVIA
+ To enter the country, travelers must present a full COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued no later than 14 days before arrival.
+ non-vaccinated guests can present either a negative PCR taken no more than 72 hours or an antigen test taken no more than 48 hours before boarding the plane/crossing the border to Bolivia.
+ children under the age of 5 years do not need a vaccination certificate or test to enter Bolivia.

URUGUAY

+ Travelers need to carry an international travel health insurance.
