Brazil- Wildlife Discoveries Option B

Arrival at the hotel in Rio de Janeiro. The rest of the day is at leisure. Explore the city of long golden beaches or just relax from the long flight.

In the morning flight to Manaus, the capital of the Amazonas state and hub of the Amazon region in the north of Brazil. Transfer to the Evolução Ecolodge, located about 2 hours by car and speed boat from Manaus airport. Full board is included.

The day is filled with activities (shared basis) to explore the surroundings of the lodge, including walks through the jungle, piranha fishing or alligator spotting.

Today, more activities included in the lodge´s package can be joined like observation of birds, monkeys and other wildlife and a visit to an indigenous community as well as a “caboclo's” house.

Flight to Cuiabá and transfer to the hotel in the city.

Transfer to the Araras lodge. On the way, observation of birds, small mammals and typical landscapes. The lodge is located within one of the most beautiful regions of the Pantanal. The sound of the birds at dawn, breath-taking sunsets, giant otters playing by the river and alligators enjoying the sun will create unique moments.

During their stay, guests observe a big variety of birds, animals and reptiles. Activities include nature hikes, horseback riding, night walks, canoeing, and photo safaris, with chances to discover giant otters, caimans and water pigs.

Sunrise walking tour before breakfast. Transfer to Cuiabá airport for return flight to Rio de Janeiro. Transfer to hotel.

On the full day excursion guests will take the two-stage cable car up to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain for amazing views of the city. Afterwards they will visit the Corcovado mountain with the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer with a breath-taking view over Rio.

Transfer to the airport for homebound flight.
